seal

Executive Oath of Office: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
—United States Constitution, Article II, Section 1, Clause 8

Each student will choose a pair of inaugural addresses. They will deeply read each speech and then rhetorically analyze each speech.  They will then write a multi-paragraph rhetorical analysis of both speeches  making an argument as to which speech is the strongest speech in their own determination based on their rhetorical analysis.
