Academics-Why I am/or should be a Diligent Student

Why am I a diligent
student? The reason why I am a diligent student is because of the many
opportunities that will be offered once I become a diligent student. As being a
junior in high school, I should, I should really look into my future
priorities. I want to be just like any other student, graduate from high
school, go to college, and get a job. I was raised in this world to realize
that nothing is ever given to you, but with hard work and dedication you can
strive for excellence, that will make me a more diligent student.

I should be a diligent student because I eventually need to get a decent job and without an education, I’ve heard it’s pretty difficult. It also helps that my mother wants me to make good grades, she likes those. I want to be able to provide for my family and I need to be diligent now so I can do less work for more money later.

*************************************************************************************************************************************************************

I should be a diligent
student for an unlimited amount of reasons. It’s just right to be such. As a
diligent student, I am conscientious on my studies and caring about the quality
of my work in school. The characteristic of diligence proves to bring upon good
character within a person, as well as positive outcomes in ones future. Being a
student of this sort displays who you are as a person and how well you take
responsibilities. With all the good things that come out of being a diligent
student, I don’t see much of a reason not to be. It helps me become a
productive, responsible, and reliable person in society.

Diligence found in my schoolwork comes from striving for
greatness in my future. I believe to achieve greatness you have to apply
maximum effort throughout everything you do. You can’t just expect to slough
off then all of a sudden put in a large effort, it’s a chain reaction, what you
do all along will carry with you.

I am not
perfect in my applications of maximum effort, for I am human, I get tired, I
will slack off, but then I realize soon after I have to pick myself back up,
get back on track. In my life I want to change others’ lives, to help them.
Through inspiration, medicine and healing, friendship, consolation,
spirituality, etc.  To get to this place
I know that I have to apply myself in my academic career; this is what keeps
tag on my diligence.

I dream of
going to a top-tier research university, there to study medicine, foreign
language, international relations, and many other of my expanding brain’s
engrossments. Then to go on from there and apply the greatness acquired to
heighten society, whether it be small or large contributions. A great force
behind these inclinations is the support system around me sparking the
greatness and diligence to keep burning. This support system being my wonderful
family at home, but also not only that family, the even larger family I have at
my school (LISA Academy). This support added with my internal drive provides
the world with the greatness I bring today and the greatness that will
subsequently come from me in the future.

Why should I be a diligent student?

As a student, my top priority should be my studies. In order
to acquire knowledge and learn new things, in order to get into a good college,
it’s necessary for me to work hard and work diligently. It’s important for me
to work hard right now so I can get a good job in my desired profession. If I
want to be successful I need to work hard and stay on top. There is a lot of
competition around us now.  The only way
to beat everybody is to work hard. If I don’t work diligently right now then I
would waste all my time and I would regret it later.

At an early age my parents always told me that they want better for me than they have had.As I have gotten older and higher up in school,I remember my parents words. I think I am willing to work hard and be a diligent student because I want to be successful. I want to succeed. I know nothing in life is free and that you must work hard to get what you want. This is why I strive to work hard and be a diligent student.

I have several goals in life just like many individuals and I am willing to achieve these goals by taking the right ways. Due to the presence of my school and my family, I am surrounded by people who have achieved their goals by going through the right paths which benefited them both in short and long terms. Through my dialogs and experiences with these kinds of people, I can readily say that being a diligent student is one the most essential steps to take in order to achieve the desired goals in the most smooth, clear-cut way. Especially in a school like LISA Academy, being diligent is a lot more necessary in order to get through the challenges the school offers. Also when I see the aspiration of teaching from my teachers, not being diligent feels shameful. Overall, besides for my goals in my career, I have this big intention of being a diligent student for my surroundings who help and assist me throughout my school and social life.

Diligence is the constant and earnest effort to accomplish the task at hand. I do think of myself as a diligent student due to my desire to succeed. In school the task is to make passing grades and in the end graduate.  Throughout my high school career I have strived to accomplish these tasks. It is easy to say that at times I have gotten sidetracked and stumbled at times but I always picked it up and constantly worked to get back to where I know I needed to be academically. My diligence has been formed, and is still forming, through my teachers and classmates. The teachers at LISA Academy want the students to succeed which creates an environment in which it is easy to want to accomplish tasks. This is one of the factors that drive me to be a diligent student along with encouragement from classmates. Nobody wants to be a lazy unaccomplished person. All students should strive to be diligent so they can do what they want to in life.  Success outside of school starts with hard work in school. If you can learn diligence early on in school, you will set yourself very nicely for your life after schooling.

When the word diligence comes to mind, I think of showing care or continuously being focused on one particular duty, but there are many different identifications to this definition based on how people perceive this word. I agree being a diligent student or person isn’t something that’s forced, but to be diligent is an action chosen by the person. I believe that I am very diligent at LISA Academy because I have dreams and goals that I would like to accompany. When I’m diligent at school I’m aware that I’m one step closer to becoming successful and making accomplishments for myself. I’m focused on the duty of my schoolwork and the priorities that are significant. Another reason I’m diligent is because of the support system that I have at LISA Academy. The teachers and faculty help push me every day and lead me through the door of greater opportunities. The support and help that they offer drives me to want to become even more diligent. In conclusion, being at LISA Academy lets me know that anything is possible and being a diligent student will get me closer to my dreams of becoming a pediatrician.

Blog post – Why am I a diligent student?

Why am I a diligent student? It is a question that has floated around in my head for a long time now. However, my reasons for being diligent are clear. I want to have a feeling of self pride, go far in life and most of all; I want to make my parents proud of me. Being able to know that I’m a hard worker is one of the most rewarding feelings I could have in life. It allows me to know that I haven’t wasted my life and that I can be seen as successful, which means a lot to me because of how I was raised. Also, diligence is one of my main keys in going to a lot of different places and reaching various milestones in my life. I don’t like being stuck in a certain period of time at somewhere I don’t want to be, so I work to get to new heights and new accomplishments. Finally, the main reason for my diligence has to be the fact that it will make my parents proud. What parent doesn’t want their child to be hardworking and attentive to their work? I know mine wouldn’t want that for a fact, that’s why I work diligently in anything that I do (no matter how big or small) to make sure they are always proud of me. Therefore, I will always continue to be a diligent student so that I can go to new heights and places in life, get a feeling of self pride, and most importantly; make sure my parents proud of me.

“Why I am a Diligent Student”

Why am I a diligent student? There are a few reasons why I am a diligent student because I want to be able to succeed in life and I know I can get into the best colleges around the country. Let’s go deeper into the meaning. It’s not only about colleges and succeeding, for me it feels good when I get really good grades. When I first got on the honor roll in fifth grade, I felt so proud of myself for working so hard. Not only did I make myself proud, but I made my friends and family happy. So I knew that I could do well in school, all it took was one time and I managed to keep my grades high throughout my life. I am now a junior and I still make A’s and B’s. My main goal is to push myself to make all A’s. I know I can achieve it if I set my mind to. I really could not do it if it weren’t for my parents and my teachers. The teachers here at LISA Academy are kind and they really want each student to pass each class and to succeed in their future.

Furthermore, to be more diligent is for me to be on good behavior. This shows that I want to learn and take responsibility. When the teachers see that I am ready to learn, they appreciate my eligibility to learn in a classroom environment. Lastly, I would like to encourage others to be diligent students because they can do a lot more in life if they just put their mind to it. It also makes yourself, as well as others, feel great about how well you do in school.

Motivates and Mobilizes

Here at LISA Academy, the teachers are personable and friendly. I know they really desire for us as students to learn and succeed, and they really do work hard to help us accomplish our goals. As an extrovert, this kind of feedback and support really helps me thrive. I enjoy listening to the teachers’ lectures, because they love the subjects they teach, and they love the students they teach them to.

Like almost every school I know, LISA emphasizes the importance of a higher education, but LISA goes beyond just emphasizing the importance of it to actually mobilize its students to go out and strive to get one. They keep college fresh on our minds every day, so we remember that slacking now has more than just immediate repercussions. They don’t let us stay wrapped up in the moment so that we forget about planning for the future.

I’m happy with my GPA, my class rank, and my ACT scores, but ultimately, I’m proud to go to LISA Academy, a school that mobilizes and motivates me to do my very best.  ~~Joy Williams-Junior

What is a diligent student? A diligent student is a student who takes responsibility for his/her work, behavior, and actions. They do not have to be constantly reminded to stay on task or to complete their work in a timely manner. A diligent student is nothing less than a leader but not so proud as to not be able to follow. As a student at LISA Academy, I am both challenged and compelled to be a diligent student. The choices made now, affect the future. This is why I make the choice everyday to strive to be a diligent student. One who will be able to display appropriate behavior, set an example, and use initiative in order to get ahead. A diligent student is one who is stable enough to get their work done and help others. Doctors, lawyers, judges and things of this nature are what become of these types of students. No one should settle for less than their best. Students should want to challenge their selves because success has more value when hard work is applied. Life is all about choices. Our choices reflect our morals and our morals shape our lives. Thus, it is important to start early in engraving the correct mind set by becoming a diligent student. This particular student sprouts a productive citizen which is what this great country is made from. We are the future; we are the change so let’s start now following the right path in order to make a difference. Create better tomorrows, aim for the best, and celebrate your success.

~Jayla Pounds, Junior

Well I am a diligent because I work hard in my work and projects. Every student should be a diligent student for his or her life, and for a good job, and to have enough money for you  to live a good life. There are many reasons why I should be a diligent student.

~Aseel Khamis

Why am I a Diligent student?   I am a hard working student

is in school. Even though I have a disability
in reading, I always do my best to do my work in school. Even though I’m  slightly slower from the other students,
sooner or later I will make it. When I do my best I try to stay on the teacher’s good side now you can say I’m a kiss up. But really I just don’t want to be in trouble. And just play by their rules in their class. And try to do all my work and get the grade that I can get. And that’s why I’m a diligent student.
~Vihncent Ngyuen

Why I am a diligent student. Before I tell you that, let me tell you what the word “diligent” means. Lots of people say that they are a diligent student. When you ask them why they are a diligent student, they all have one answer, “because I always do my homework and get straight A’s on my tests”. Most students do not know what it takes and means to be a diligent student. So I will first tell you the actual definition. The word “Diligent” has so many definitions and here are the two most important ones: 1. Constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything. 2. Having or showing care and conscientiousness in one’s work or duties. Now that you know what diligent student means I will tell you how I am one of those students. These are the reasons for me being a diligent student.

1)     I put in a lot of effort making sure my grades are good. I do this by doing the most obvious thing, doing my homework and turning it on time. Another way I accomplish this is by putting effort in every project/assignment I have to do. I put in passion for what I have to do for school. I don’t just turn my assignments in without looking over it and certainly not do them at the last minute.

2)     I behave during class and don’t get in trouble and most importantly listen to the teacher. I follow this step by paying attention and taking detailed notes about what teacher is saying and/ writing on the board. That does not mean that I don’t fool around in class sometimes with my friend. Who doesn’t? But I get serious when it is time to stop playing and start working. I practice, “work while you work and play while you play”.

3)     I stay busy with extracurricular activities. I am in LISA Soccer team, the College Readiness and Leadership Program (CRLP), and I stay afterschool for extra help when i have chapter tests, which no one seems to do these days. I do all this activities besides school and still get good GPA scores.

These are the reasons why I think I am a diligent student. I not only care about homework’s and tests, I care about the future. I care about what I should do today that will make my future better tomorrow just as the definition says “showing care about one’s work.”

-Vraj Mehta, freshman

I work hard, I fear failure, I fear self-decided and willing short-handed accomplishment. I hate knowing I can do more. I hate knowing I should do more. So I work hard. I carefully mix relaxation, care-freeness, the awareness that some things are out of our control, and I blend it with diligence so well that it tastes like professionalism. Academically I am the student some parents would kill for, but that doesn’t mean such traits carry over into personality or off campus behaviour.
I work hard, I fear repetition, I fear the hole some people drop in when they’ve let go of their dreams. I hate knowing there are some who don’t take hold of opportunity. I hate knowing that at times I’m this way anyways. So I work hard. I remember the stories my parents have told me, their irresponsiblity, their regrets, and what they wish for me. I take all they’ve uploaded into my hardrive and program myself to continue, because I want so much more than they’ve left behind. I am diligent because in comparison to some, I have the potential because I’m aware of where I can take myself. Others give up, or they don’t care, but I do,I care, because I want to. I want to because at this school, a majority of the student population is just like me. They know, they understand, and they want more from themselves. They somehow take pride in what they’re capable of, and the teachers, the staff, the curriculum, the collective atmosphere pulls it from the dredges, articulates it, forms it, expresses it, so we can spell it out in oustanding test scores, format it into blinding papers, and compel seizures from our track records.
This school, for those who want it, and parents who hammer it into their children, forces us to be diligent, why? Because it ingeniusly integrates it’s principles into us, or molds perfectly with our own, so we became Greek scholars, the kinds public schools would kill for, but will never get, cause they don’t get us students. And they can’t offer what LISA does. I am diligent because I take pride in being able to, I take pride that I can excel beyond the average student, because I am part of a school that I have smeltered into. A school where you can develop relationships with teachers. Relationships you can’t get anywhere else, the kind of relationships that make you see why it’s worth it to work. They make you want to see why. The make you want to BE the why.
But that’s only if you want to. And I want to. Therefore, I am diligent. And I am a LISA student.

~Angelica Garcia, Junior

I think I should be a diligent student because It is to do good first of all. You must know when to keep yourself under control and listen to your conscience, the good conscience. I want to be a diligent student.  There are always chances in life where you feel that it is good for you.  This is weird but its true.  It’s off of a game I play; it said “It is futile to just reach” which means that you must work to get what you want instead of getting it.

~Davione Green

What is the meaning of diligence? To be diligent means to put effort into work to accomplish a task. Why should I be a diligent student? Being a diligent student shows how much I care about academics and my future. By showing how much I care, I can prove to future employers that I am worthy of a respectable profession. My diligence will also show those employers that I can handle work efficiently, and can be counted on to get a job done. I also need to be a diligent student to receive good enough grades to show that I understand new material when it is given to me. When I show that I can wrap my brain around new material, I also show that I want to learn new things. What does being a diligent student mean to you?_Aaron Jenkins

It’s very important to be a diligent student. I think we should all be diligent in our studies. My name is Nathan Nesbitt. Personally, I don’t think I’m as diligent as I could be. What about you? Are you as diligent in your lifestyle as you could be?

Diligence is something all of us need to grasp at one point in life. Maybe, if you’re a high-school student, you need to be diligent in turning in assignments on-time. I’ve learned this the hard way several times in my school career. If you’re in college, maybe you need to be diligent with your studies. If you’re 21 years and working, then you need to be diligent in going to work and doing your best. The phase of life you’re in makes all the difference when it comes to diligence. However, there’s one thing that stays true no matter what with diligence: success.

Diligence always results in success. Laziness will get you nowhere in life. Come on; have you ever seen a couch potato do well in life? Diligence, however, will push you forward in your life. If you’re in high-school, diligence will push you towards graduating with top honors. If you’re in college, diligence will get you that master’s degree you’d been wanting. If you’re graduated and done with school, diligence will get you a good life in this world.

No matter what you’re doing in life, diligence will get you places. It always does. I’m a high-school student, and I should be much more diligent than I am. If I ever wanted to get into a good college and get a life in this world, diligence would get me there.

So, what about you? Are you diligent enough to push your life forward?

~Nathan Nesbitt, freshman

I am a diligent student because I have goals. No, not simple everyday goals like becoming a nurse, doctor, veterinarian, sports figure, teacher, or anything like that. I have a very different goal. Someday, I am going to start a farm called Broken Love. It isn’t going to be a farm for animals and crops though. It is going to be a farm for abused and neglected children, where they can be around other children like themselves and get all the therapy and psychology they need to help them shine.

What does this have to do with being a diligent student? Well, believe it or not, it has a lot to do with being a diligent student. See, to be a diligent student, you have to be able to strive for something. If you have a goal than you are less likely to “get bored” or make excuses not to work hard. When you have set your goal and you tell yourself in your mind, “I am going to do this and nothing can stop me,” then you will find yourself working hard and, for the most part, loving it. And isn’t that the meaning of being a diligent student?

~Samantha Bryant

Face it, no matter what school you go to there will always be at least one student who doesn’t want to work. Unfortunately that kind of student is me. I’m not doing very well and here’s why: I came from not so good of a school (Mabelvale) and they never forced me to do anything. That is far from what I have to say about what LISA Academy has to offer.

They push you hard here. And I didn’t understand that at first, but now I do. This was a hard change. Why do I need to be a diligent (hard working) student? I want a good education and a great career. At LISA Academy, I feel I can do that. I can live a rich and fulfilling life if I try.

If I started working diligently I would be in a better spot than I am right now. I like LISA and I enjoy the academic level they have. It makes you work harder.

~Tyler Poirier

To be “diligent” means to be “persistent and constant in work.” It also means to be “dedicated” and “constant in an effort to achieve ones goal.” Why is important to be diligent? Is it important to be diligent? It is very important for students in the 21st century to diligent, dedicated, and hardworking. But, before you can be diligent, you have to be focused. Once you’ve mastered this skill (staying focused that is), the sky is the limit. It is a necessity for students to be diligent so that they may succeed. In today’s society, most success stems from education. Of course, some people are successful because they’re famous actresses, singers, etc. but not everyone will be famous. So, how are non-famous people supposed to become successful? They need to be diligent. Every student should be diligent, especially students like myself: freshmen. This is my first year in high school and this is where everything starts to count. Do I plan to go college? Do I plan on furthering my education after high school? Yes. Do I plan on being a productive citizen? Of course! But not if I don’t buckle down and become diligent and hardworking. There is no time for slacking and playing around. Work hard now, play later. Being a diligent student is not forced upon us like actually going to school. Being a diligent student was my choice. I am rewarded for my grades but that isn’t why I’m a diligent student. I want to go to a prestigious college that will continue to challenge me. I want to make the Dean’s list wherever I go. I want to make a difference. I need to be successful. Therefore, I have to be diligent. – Morgan H.

I believe that I am a diligent student. To be diligent is to be hardworking and ready to do what you need to do. I, at least, try my best and do what I am supposed to do. Is it important to be a diligent student? It is very important to be a diligent student. From now on in high school, it is very significant to work the best that you can and acquire the best grades that you possibly can. With those good grades, you could receive a scholarship and be accepted into a great college.

“To be idle is a short road to death and to be diligent is a way of life; foolish people are idle, wise people are diligent.”~ Buddha. I choose to be diligent because it will benefit me in the years that follow me from now on. It really helps since colleges and employers look for excellent grades in high school and want someone to be good at many things other than school. A diligent student must also be well-rounded. For these reasons, I believe that I am a diligent student and I should keep striving to do the best that I can.
~Agustin Sanjuan, Freshman
You may face a parent, a teacher, or even a classmate everyday that says you need to work a little harder. You might think, “But I’m already working my head off!” or, if you actually believe them, you might think “You know, maybe you’re right.” The latter, in most cases, should be your attitude in these situations. I’m not saying this because you need to work all day or night to perfect everything you do, I’m just telling you that there’s always room for improvement, always. There are many reasons for being diligent, but this post isn’t for naming them all. Instead, let’s make this easy.

I am what some consider a diligent student. I’m not tying to brag, but in my mind’s eye, I am just like you see yourself. I work hard everyday, 24/7 (except for sleep). I am involved in two clubs that require a lot of work, one of them Spanish Quiz bowl, the other, CRLP (College Readiness and Leadership Program). Both of these involve a tremendous amount of memorization, planning, studying, and so forth. And guess what? I do a;; of this, plus all the things I do for school! I’m talking about every project, report, essay, experiment, and homework assignment piled on me. I know you must think your load is just as big as mine, but every once in a while, we each think we’re the most miserable person in the world, right? You might think I’m crazy, bringing all this work on myself. That’s right, I chose to do this. Do you want to know why? It’s because I knew it was good for me. I have goals, as I’m sure you do, too. Doing all this helps me achieve my goals, which is the best thing I can do with my life right now. I might be working all my life to do this, but if I continue to do so, I know someday that it will all pay off someday. I know I am a diligent student. Are you?

~Michelle Burton, freshman

Is it important to be a diligent student? What is the significance of being a diligent student? Hopefully positive feedback is given to both of these questions. It’s very important to be a diligent student, because not only do you receive positive credit, you will also receive happiness. The significance of being a diligent student is not just about good characteristics; it’s also for good outlooks from others on you. I would think of myself as a diligent student because I know my rights from my wrongs. Hopefully you have a great outcome or an idea of a diligent student.

Why I should be a diligent student…

Everyone should be a diligent student. When being diligent youarehaving or showing care and conscientiousness in one’s work or duties. If you are diligent it benefits you throughout your life in jobs and becoming successful. It can be hard to be diligent sometimes, but if you put your mind to it you can.

Ways to be diligent include:  looking into a topic you find interesting. Going to the library more often, paying more attention in class and finally working hard!

~Daniel Nicoletti, freshman

Hello!  My name is Brandon, and I consider myself a diligent student.  I believe that being diligent is to accomplish something that is important to you.  Being diligent will help me grasp the time I need to do my objectives.  It can be a task which I tend to with great care or concerning to detail.  It’s also an accomplishment to be left regarded as a top priority.  Let’s consider the story of Jack and Jill.  These two characters are diligent partners, because of their simple goal:  to climb up the mountain and fetch a pail of water.  I believe you can achieve any goal.  As a matter of fact, I believe that all people have common obstacles.   You and I are not that much different from each other.  I think that to be diligent in approach is an amicable quality, and one to which I strive towards.

~Brandon Brown

Do you remember school when you were young or are you still in school?  Whether young or old, everyone has fond, and not so fond, memories of school.  Friends and enemies can affect your outlook towards school as well as how dedicated you were or are to your schoolwork.

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines diligent as: characterized by steady, earnest, and energetic effort.  According to this definition I feel I am a diligent student and here are some of the reasons.

Punctuality is very important to me so I always arrive at school on time.  Due to the way I was raised, I respect the teachers by listening during class and not talking when they are teaching.  I also respect my fellow students when I listen and do not talk.

I also believe that school property as well as student property should be taken care of so I take care of my belongings and I also take care of my schoolbooks and do not take other students’ items.

Since learning is a very big part of being a diligent student I do my best to complete my homework and turn it in on time.  I also try to give 100% to each assignment so my work is done to the best of my ability.  I do not always get everything right, but when I do miss questions I take the time to review to see where I went wrong.

I am also a well-rounded student in that I participate in extra-circular activities such as soccer and Collegiate Readiness Leadership Program (CRLP).  These programs put more pressure on me but I enjoy them and they allow me to express myself and exercise my mind and body.

Will you be a diligent student?  If you are not one, I encourage you to become one because with the current economy, without a good education and proof that you are a diligent student with a good GPA you will have to take out a lot of loans or have rich parents to get through college without a large about of debt when you get out.

I am a diligent student because I work hard to make good grades. If I make good grades then I will look good for colleges. I know that if I get a scholarship, my parents won’t have to pay much for college. I try my hardest to do well in school so that I can make my parents proud. When my parents are proud it makes me feel like I have accomplished something good. I think that my diligence and drive for success is what makes me the student I am. This is why I am a diligent student.

- William Hall

A diligent student is not precarious, but more centered. As a diligent student, I tend to try and find ways around the acrimonious studying. I have a hard time up keeping my tenacity when studying. It is much easier to fall in futility and read a book. The venturesome one would continue to wade through the senselessness. This person, who often enough, isn’t me, gets remittance in the long run. Much more subsequently, I end up getting to their point at a different time.

The reason I may end up being as diligent as others may be due to my lack of tenacity. I am a diligent student, in all technicalities. I do my work, turn it in, attempt to pay attention, and study, yet I am not as diligent as I should be. A diligent student, with a much higher goal than my own, might be far more appreciated by teachers. I may not be talkative, naturally, but if I lose interest; I might try to read a book. It’s hard to be a diligent student, especially when you’ve never really paid attention in school your entire life. My goals are my own, and they are countless stories that may or may not ever be written. These fantasy worlds are locked within the afractuous maze of my mind. That can make a diligent student in their own way, now, wouldn’t it?

How hard could it be to be a diligent student? Well not very hard at all. All it
takes is a little bit of effort! Now you may ask what a diligent student is. A
diligent student means that you are a hardworking student. Would you rather be
known as a hard-working student or a lazy student? Here are my four easy steps
to becoming a diligent student (1) be organized, (2) be respectful, (3) try
your best! Being a diligent student has many perks. You get more respect from
others, etc.

Why I must be a diligent studentWhy should I be a diligent student you ask??? I should not be a diligent student.  I must  be a diligent student! You need to be a diligent student to succeed in life. I am not saying I am the perfect student, definitely not, but I encourage myself each and everyday to be diligent.  I try my best each day and carry on. I must be a diligent student to succeed. Why should YOU be a diligent student???
~Paul Wilkins, freshman

I am a diligent student because I am responsible, hardworking, faithful, and committed to everything I do. I use my time wisely and make the honest effort to accomplish the undertaken.  I am the person who goes above and beyond to do what needs to be done in order to be successful. As a result, I put my best foot forward and plan to never look back.  I have a goal that I want to accomplish. Therefore, I want to live, eat, and breathe success. Whatever has been handed to me I take it and plan to have a successful ending.  I listen as the teacher speaks, ask questions if I am uncertain, and complete the assignments given on time. I portray myself as a diligent student live up to it. This is why I am a diligent student.

~Ben Wilburn

A diligent student means a lot to me when you know
you’re one of them or able to be diligent student. Being a diligent student can
mean you’re happy, joyful, smart, organized, respectful, a good student, or
even helpful. When it comes to me being diligent, all I can think about is me
being happy. I’m an example of a diligent student because I’m organized with
all my classes and the work that has been given to me, even with the sports I
play; I know how to keep everything right where it needs to be. Being respectful
is one of the things that is on my list of being a diligent student because I
feel that if you want to be treated respectfully then you have to treat people
the way you would want to be treated. Also, I’m helpful when it’s comes to
students or teachers needing help; I am joyful around
people to give off a positive attitude, and smart when it comes down to my
class work. This is why I feel I am an example of a diligent student.

Why I am a Diligent Student

There are, of course, diligent students in this world. I mean, without diligent students, there would be no lawyers, doctors, etc.

That would be a really horrible world to live in, right? With every diligent student, there is a motive behind their actions and will to be one.

I am  among this prestige group of diligent students. My motives to be a diligent student is that I have my future to be concerned about.

I only have the future to look forward to, and I don’t want to look towards a life of burger-flipping and table-waiting.

The College Dream

Being a diligent student is a personal choice. So why did I choose to be
a diligent student?
Am I paid for my grades? No. Am I afraid of punishment?
Well, yes, but my real reason for being so diligent is unrelated to my parents.
It’s college.

My real reason for being so diligent is college.
I don’t want to attend just any state university or some 2 year technical college.
I want to graduate somewhere top-notch. Somewhere like Stanford or Georgetown.
A prestigious place is where I wish to be.

Sure, those are high expectations, but that’s why I have to be diligent.
I have to work hard to make it there. I may have a couple more years before I do go to college or even start applying. I know that it starts this year though. This year is the year when college preparation starts. These four years of high school are when I need to have good grades. This is what the colleges will look at when I apply.

I have been a pretty diligent student all my life. I skipped second grade, but that doesn’t matter now. That doesn’t matter much anymore.

Stanford is my goal and there is nothing that will stop me from reaching it.

To all the readers out there, I hope you’re ready for story time because here comes another one.
I’ve had people ask me why I work so hard and what I work hard for. Well my story starts from the moment I was born.
All through my 13 year life my parents were with me in everything. They supported whatever I did even if I failed in my attempt.
After all my parents have done for me it would be silly for anyone to consider why I’m always willing to strive.
Another reason for me being a diligent student would be… my future, of course.
Everyone one of us has goals and dreams but all of us may not be able make these dreams come true.
I want to try to make these dreams come true. It’s more than just college and a job for me.
It’s about me achieving my goals in life and living my life the way I want to.
All of this starts here & now and I‘ve decided that I’m not going to miss a moment of it.~Abhigna Penthala, freshman

Why am I a diligent student? I am a diligent student for many reasons. One reason is because of my parents.
My parents motivate me to work hard and get good grades. Another reason is so I can go to a good college.
I want to go to a good college so I can succeed at life and get a good job.
If I get a good job I will be able to provide for myself and, when the time comes, my family.
I should be a good student so I can please m parents, succeed in life, get a good job, and provide for my family. Freshman

When I hear or think of the phrase “diligent student”, the first thing that comes to my mind is, smart, hard working, and an ordinary student.
Which is actually important, because if you were not ordinary, not following any rules, and not working, then you would not be able to focus, or be successful in any of your classes. The first thing is that it will affect your grades. And those grades will also affect your future life.

Some people think that it is actually hard to be a diligent student, which is not true. If you would just be ordinary, listening to your class, and at least studying a little bit every night, you would actually be a diligent student. If you can be a diligent student once, then the other years wouldn’t be hard at all, because you will get used to it. So don’t ever think that you could never be a diligent student. If you really believe in yourself, then you would make everything be possible, which then your life also will be easier, and nothing would be hard for you anymore…
